hey, im 13 and just got this item for my birthday, this mixing consil is a good product if all you want is to play 2 songs at once. this consil has limited controls, and only 3 fadding levels. and dont be fooled! those circles on the machine do NOT SCRATCH THE MUSIC! they act as a click wheel. also, you cant use a bpm, or match levels.
i really dont recemend this product. sorry

This product is great for DJ’s that have two mass storage iPODs. I use an older 40GB and a new 80GB with no problems. I like the fact that you get 1/8″ and 1/4″ headphone jacks built in, so no more adapters! The audio quality is good, and the mixer section is also good. I run two Gemini CD players, in conjunction with my iPODs, through the mixer and it works perfectly! I only wish that the unit had 1/4″ balanced outputs along with the RCA outputs to ease hook-ups to nicer equipment. I use an RCA cable with two RCA to 1/4″ adapters to overcome this. The controls are well laid out, and the blue back lighting is awesome! I also like the fact that you utilize the line out feature of the iPOD since it plugs into the bottom dock. This way, the volume control on the iPOD itself is defeated and you get a clean line level signal that you control with the mixer itself. Although there is no support for scratching and pitch control, this unit does EXACTLY what it’s supposed to do…at one HELL of a price!!

Fun unit to have when everyone at your party has a ipod. It’s compact and light for travel. Controls your ipod without actually having to touch your ipod. Also great for everyday use, which is how I use it.

Maybe I am the only one who has had this problem, but we bought this as a backup for our disc jockey service and it is extremely unreliable, if it works at all. The problem is with the connections–we use two video iPods and occasionally an iPod mini. Even with the provided adapters that are supposed to push slimmer iPods forward to engage the controls, none of them connect properly. I have to put pieces of folded paper behind the adapters to push them forward more and that, of course, does not make for a stable system when you are trying to play for a customer. The controls often are unusable because the iPod is not properly engaged or the music just stops playing. The video iPod also sometimes just pops out of the plug, again, causing the music to stop mid-song. I realize this is not a top dollar mixer and was never meant to be used professionally, but shouldn’t it at least play most of the time reliably? I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. It is a waste of money!

i thought when i bought this it was going to break down so easily because it wasnt too expensive. But since I have been using this machine constantly just to test its durability, it proves to me it is a great item everybody should have one. i LOVE IT. THANKS
